FRISKY Radio still delivers some fantastic progressive house, techno, house and deep house. So I tune in my favorites every month and this year my favorite FRISKY show is from Pole Folder. It was recorded live in Jaipur, India at the Locals District Festival.
Great vocal remixes always attract my attention and this year my track of the year goes again to an excellent remix by Edu Imbernon of Rufus Du Sol's "New Sky":
This is such a massive track. I first heard it on Dave Seaman’s August Radio Therapy show on Frisky Radio and now it’s available on Apple Music so also in my big tune playlist. The banging twang is mesmerizing!
Trent Cantrelle's Sounds Like Radio show for June 2018 is excellent. I continue to go back to Trent's monthly show as he's not afraid to play the best music there is on his monthly set and deliver a performance that is memorable. So often now I hear monthly sets that are just not that interesting and while it's not the case that Trent's are incessantly amazing, his show is usually way above the average. Check it out:
Excellent Perspectives set on Frisky Radio this month (May 2018) from Darin Epsilon. It starts out strong and finishes strong - probably the best Perspectives Radio set all year from Darin.
This might very well be my favorite track of 2018 when it's all said and done. Absolutely outstanding killer progressive house by Jobe and Soul Button on the remix:
The famed Global Underground record label has uploaded every GU album to their MixCloud page for public consumption. Many of these albums were the roots of my love for progressive house, including John Digweed's Sydney and Sasha's Ibiza GUs. Listen here:
My track of the year for 2015 is Michael A's "Stars" (Dmitry Molosh Mix). This is a builder of a track with loads of energy behind it. They are a few piano riffs with this track and they complement each other nicely with an incessant hum in the background that just seems to keep building the momentum. This one has been played over and over for me...
